DEEP SOUTH ROUTE

Aboard the Legend Zen, this itinerary takes in the three southernmost atolls of the Maldives on a very special route that allows you to dive in both hemispheres in just one week. The adventure begins in Huvadhoo, famous for its channels teeming with grey reef sharks and for the spectacular dive with the spinners, with the added chance of a night-time encounter with the whale shark.

The journey then continues to Fuvahmulah, one of the world’s top destinations for diving with tiger sharks, and also the peak season for thresher sharks and oceanic manta rays. To round off the trip, the route takes you to Addu, where you can combine diving on the historic British Loyalty wreck with encounters with mantas at their cleaning station.

Itinerary

ITINERARY

Day 1 (13th March, Saturday)

Arrival at Male Airport (MLE) and transfer to the domestic flight to Kooddoo Island. Meet and assistance at the airport, followed by transfer to the liveaboard “Legend Zen”. Welcome briefing and cabin allocation. Check dive, followed by the rest of the day at leisure.

Days 2 to 6 (From 14th to 18th March)

3-dive days in the best areas of the Addu, Fuvahmulah and Huvadhoo atolls.

Day 7 (19th March, Friday)

Final dive in the morning, followed by a visit to a local island in the afternoon, if possible. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 8 (20th March, Saturday)

After breakfast, disembarkation and transfer to GAN airport. Domestic flight back to Male and, at the agreed time, return flight to Spain.

End of services provided.

Airport assistance.
Transfer from KOODDOO Airport to the “Legend Zen” boat, then to GAN Airport.
8 days (7 nights) on the “Legend Zen” cruise ship in a cabin of your choice (based on double occupancy).
Full board, including all meals, water, tea, coffee and snacks between meals.
17-dive package.
12 litre bottles, weights and belt.
Barbecue dinner on a deserted beach.
3 experienced diving guides.

LEGEND ZEN

An elegant and comfortable 41-metre liveaboard, refurbished in 2024, offering accommodation for up to 24 guests in single, double, or triple cabins.

It is one of the most popular boats in the Maldives, with a modern design and local craftsmanship.

It has four decks with multiple relaxation areas, including a terrace with a jacuzzi, bar and solarium. On board, passengers enjoy a restaurant, cosy common areas and fully equipped cabins with private bathrooms. Accommodation options include suites with sea views, private balconies and various configurations to suit different types of travellers.
