THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE
Simply: the best of the Egyptian Red Sea
A special cruise aboard the fantastic M/Y Galaxy 720, visiting the most renowned sites of the Egyptian Red Sea: the Brothers Islands, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone Reef. A Red Sea classic known as the ‘Golden Triangle’ due to the geographical arrangement of the three major areas featured on this cruise.
Outstanding dive sites: Small Brother (quintessential area for pelagic sightings and presence of a wonderful forest of giant gorgonians), Big Brother (where the Numidia and Aida wrecks are located; highlights include walls full of corals, alcyonarians, black coral trees and whip corals, as well as encounters with large pelagics), Elphinstone Reef (with its characteristic vertical walls upholstered with soft corals and gorgonians; possibility of large pelagics), Daedalus Reef (the furthest offshore reef and one of the best for shark encounters, especially hammerheads and thresher sharks), Shaab Marsa Alam (with its impressive hard coral gardens) and Shaab Sharm (with spectacular vertical walls and pelagic encounters).
