Cocos Island, located in the “Golden Triangle”, 532 km from the mainland, attracts schools of hammerhead sharks and other species such as whitetip sharks, tiger sharks, silky sharks, Galapagos sharks, blacktip sharks, silver sharks, and occasionally whale sharks thanks to its nutrient-rich currents. In addition, there are various types of rays, humpback whales, false killer whales, sailfish, tuna, dolphins, and turtles.
Diving in Cocos Island National Park has only one qualification: SPECTACULAR. With more than 25 dive sites, it requires an advanced level with experience in deep and current diving.
