MOST SPECTACULAR TRIP, BOTH ON LAND AND AT SEA
A unique journey connecting land and sea: from leopards and lions in Kruger National Park to sharks, manta rays, turtles, and whales in Praia do Tofo. We recommend at least three days of safari in Kruger, staying in different camps to discover its fauna and flora. After the last safari, we will cross into Mozambique, stopping in Chidenguele, before diving in Tofo, the authentic ‘sea of encounters’.
Arrival at Skukuza Airport (South Africa) and transfer to Kruger National Park. Depending on the time of arrival, there is the possibility of going on a first safari in the afternoon. Upon arrival at the camp, we check in to the bungalows and have dinner.
Two full days of safari in Kruger National Park (home to the Big Five), where we will depart from the south of the park towards the Shingwedzi River area in the north. During the day, there will be stops for meals and rest. We arrive at the next camp where we will spend the night. Optional activities such as early morning walks or night safaris are available.
Breakfast before the camp opens. Last full day of land safari within Kruger National Park. At the end of the day, we will check in at a guest house near the park and have dinner at one of the nearby restaurants (not included).
Breakfast at the accommodation and departure to Praia de Chidenguele. Halfway there, we will stop in Xai Xai for lunch and to enjoy the spectacular views of the Limpopo River.
Upon arrival, we will check in at our accommodation, where we will sleep in luxury tents overlooking Lake Inhampavala. Rest of the day at leisure.
A free day to relax or enjoy activities at Inhampavala Lagoon.
Activities included: kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, board games, and snooker. Activities not included: motorised activities on the lagoon.
We’ll have an early breakfast and then head to Praia do Tofo. We’ll check in at the guest house and the diving centre. The afternoon is free to explore the fishing villages of Praia da Barra and Praia do Tofo.
Two dives per day in the morning. Afternoons free for extra activities.
Relaxation day or optional extra activities: boat trip to swim with whale sharks, dolphins and manta rays, whale watching excursion (July – November), excursion to the Inhambane estuary to see flamingos and snorkel with seahorses, quad bike trip, visits to local villages, guided cultural excursion, massages and relaxation.
Early in the morning, transfer to Vilankulo Airport to catch your return flight.
End of services provided.
All the lodges are safe, as they are surrounded by an electric fence and are clearly separated from the animal enclosure.
Basic kitchenware is provided for use in the communal kitchens or in the small kitchen in the accommodation itself (fridge-freezer with ice cube tray, electric hob, kettle, plates, cutlery, toaster, saucepans, glasses, and some microwaves).
One very interesting fact is that they all have their own barbecue, known as a ‘braai’, which seems to be something of an institution – an absolute must – in South Africa. It’s worth noting that they all provide towels and soap.
