AN EXPLOSION OF NATURE

Enjoy the exotic and exclusive Galapagos Islands on a 10-day trip in which we will dive in the best spots of the archipelago aboard the ship “Aqua” with an extension of land around the islands of Isabela and Santa Cruz, where we will enjoy the best landscapes, spot all the wildlife in the area and do a large number of activities surrounded by nature in its purest state.

The Galapagos is the second largest marine reserve in the world. With a wonderful underwater life of large species and a very diverse wealth, it is the best diving destination on the planet: all kinds of sharks (hammerheads, Galapagos, whales, white tips…), pelagic sharks, sea lions, eagle rays, iguanas, turtles…

But it’s not just underwater that is amazing… On land we’ll have the chance to see land turtles, iguanas, penguins and a host of exotic birds endemic to the area, as well as volcanic landscapes that are unique in the world.

ITINERARY

Day 1 (16 November, Sunday).

Departure from Spain to Ecuador (GYE or UIO). Arrival in the afternoon and overnight in a guesthouse near the airport (schedules pending confirmation).

Days 2 to 8 (From 17 to 23, November)

On the second day of the expedition, the group will fly to Baltra, arriving in the morning at the Ecological Airport, where they will undergo controls to prevent the introduction of foreign species into the islands. Transit Control Cards (TCC) will be stamped and the entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park will be paid. The guide will meet the group and take them by bus to the ship ‘Humboldt Explorer’, where brief presentations will be made and cabins will be assigned.

The following days will include multiple dives in different locations, highlighting the exploration of North Baltra, North Seymour, Wolf Island, Darwin Island and Cousin’s Rock. The dives will offer impressive sightings, from rays and schools of fish to hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, eagle rays, sea lions and more. In addition to underwater activities, land visits will be planned to explore the fauna and flora of the islands. The eighth day will conclude with dives at Cousin’s Rock and a trip to the Santa Cruz Highlands to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat, followed by free time in Puerto Ayora and the Darwin Center. The day will end with dinner and the return to the Humboldt Explorer.

Day 9 (24 november, Monday).

After breakfast (at 9:00 am), we will say goodbye to the crew of the ‘Humboldt Explorer’ ship and transfer by bus to Baltra airport to fly back to Spain.

Day10 (25 November, Tuesday).
