PURE LIFE!

We offer an exclusive 11-day diving cruise aboard the “COCOS ISLAND AGGRESSOR” in Cocos Island, Costa Rica, which is a highlight for pelagic sightings. October is an optimal month to explore this amazing destination. Cocos Island, located in the “Golden Triangle”, 532 km from the mainland, attracts schools of hammerhead sharks and other species such as whitetip sharks, tiger sharks, silky sharks, Galapagos sharks, blacktip sharks, silver sharks, and occasionally whale sharks thanks to its nutrient-rich currents. In addition, there are various types of rays, humpback whales, false killer whales, sailfish, tuna, dolphins, and turtles.

Diving in Cocos Island National Park has only one qualification: SPECTACULAR. With more than 25 dive sites, it requires an advanced level with experience in deep and current diving.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 (October 18, Saturday)

Meeting in front of the hotel. Transfer to Puntarenas to board and set sail towards Cocos Island.
** Travelers must arrive the day before the cruise start date and stay overnight in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Holiday Inn by Radisson hotel is recommended for savings on transportation costs.

DAY 2 and 3 (October 19-20)

Arrival at Cocos Island, start of the dives.

DAY 4 to 9 (October 21 to 26)

Eat, sleep and dive. This is the philosophy of the boat and we will follow it. During these days we will make a total of 21 dives.

DAY 10 (October 27, Monday)

Return to Puntarenas.

DAY 11 (October 28, Tuesday)

Check-out at 7 AM and transfer to San José Airport or designated hotels.

SERVICES INCLUDED

  • Transfers from the Park Inn by Radisson hotel to the pier.
  • 11 days (10 nights) on a cruise ship in a cabin with a PC regime and private bathroom (shared double room regime).
  • Diving package according to program.
  • 12 litre bottles, weights and belt.
  • Experienced diving guides.
  • Local beer and wines.
  • Travel assistance insurance and diving insurance.

Life on board

COCOS ISLAND AGGRESSOR

Cocos Island Aggressor is a brand new 38-metre yacht, built and equipped for comfort, safety and stability. She is diesel powered, cruises at 10 knots and has 110-volt power on board. Comfortable accommodations for 22 guests include 4 master staterooms located on the upper deck and 7 deluxe staterooms located on the lower deck. Each stateroom features a private bathroom and shower, and a monitor with a media player.

 

The Cocos Island Aggressor has a spacious lounge, a large sun deck, sun loungers, deck chairs and a fridge stocked with a variety of refreshments. There is ample storage space for diving equipment in a personal locker.

 

A variety of evening entertainment is offered, including scuba presentations, fish identification, movies, games and more. If you have a favorite movie or digital presentation to share, we encourage you to bring it along. The staff especially loves new movie releases, recent magazines and books. A small library of books is maintained on board for exchange, as well as fish identification books for reference.
